Vlog 002: Getting Bigger Budgets
New Vlog is up! This one is all about getting bigger and better budgets.
This subject is something that has a million facets - unfortunately they don't all fit in a sub 15 minute video. The one thing I meant to talk about but just didn't fit was that you should never let budgets restrict your creativity. All the biggest budget shoots I've done have been creatively pretty uninspired - $50k+ weeks for ESPN created much less compelling work than some of the one-shot videos I've done that I created myself for $100. That being said, budgets do help pay the bills, and you have to know the business side if you want to be a successful creative.
What's one project that sticks out to you, whether because of a large or small budget?
